Khaolak is long white sand beaches and to describe it is being remote area. A little bit over a decade ago, some of small hotels and resort begin to build then the area was developing quite fast then with unexpected disaster of 26^th December 2004, Khaoolak was destroyed completely. After 26 December 2004, this remote Khao lak redevelop in harmony with modern from budget hotels guests and 5* hotels.

Nevertheless, the hoteliers of Khao Lak area try their best to protect Khao lak to be the best hotels, Resort and beaches and nature friendly.

Last year 2009, first gay gathering place opened and lady boys of Khaolak appear in Bang Nieang called ‘ Mo Mo Cabaret Show’. This lady boy cabaret show, running by” Mr. Mo. Gay life in Khaolak is unknown and even there are many gay men and lesbian in Khaolak area but the rendezvous and a place to meet isn’t available at all therefore, Mr. Moo, opened ‘ Mo Mo Cabaret Show, to help our young’s brothers and sister  Khaolakian or Khaolak people to experience – what more available out of the discreet life in prestigious rural of Khaolak.
